Science City Bristol is about to be incorporated as a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. With financial support from the Universities of Bath, Bristol and the West of England, the West of England Partnership and the South West RDA, Science City Bristol Ltd will develop and deliver a programme of activity to build on the foundations laid by the past work of the project. SCB Ltd will work across the Bristol city region to bring business, academia and government together; create a more connected science and technology community, support promotion and understanding of the area’s science achievements and make this a great place in which to start and grow and technology based business.

The company has sufficient funding to operate for two years initially and a key task for its senior staff will be to build on this to secure the future of the company. This is a time of great change in the arrangements for economic development in England and there are real opportunities emerging for new patterns of work and new delivery mechanisms. It is an exciting time to be launching the new company and Science City Bristol is appointing two new senior posts to drive forward this agenda.

If you feel that you have the skills and experience to make Science City Bristol Ltd a real success, please see the attached job description [SCB Ltd - BEN Director Job Description Final] and details for applying for this new post.
